You know those times that I'm all insightful and write prettily to make my point completely clear and wonderful-like? This is not one of those times.

I decided to make an update, because I haven't been on or talking or commenting or anything like that lately, and I have an excuse. I'm in Advanced Placement Art, and for this I have chosen to make my portfolio in the section of 2-D design. For this I have to draw twenty-four different pieces of art; twelve for a section called "breadth" and twelve for my "concentration". In my breadth section I will be only displaying my skills in certain pieces, I also need a self-portrait. This is the easy section, as I have many pieces mapped out;
1. boy with flamingo wings (how cool would that be?)
2. mermaids; one clownfish-like and the other serpent-like. (Red, you know what I'm talking about. I'm going to be redoing it. Last year was a bad art year for me anyway.)
3. Face close-up in a nifty color like blue or green. I need to show that I can make pretty faces.
4. Me and my stuffed animal Polar in a "Calvin and Hobbes" kinda way. I'll be sleeping in his lap.
5. Some kind of evil something holding a pink balloon, this one is kinda iffy.

And then I have the concentration section. Concentration is exploring an idea or thoght or plan or layout to find who you are as an artist. For my concentration I will be following a wandering girl in a post-apocalyptic world, going through the ruins of a thriving world in order to find another person like her. It's a metaphor, but it's hard to come up with pieces to do without it looking repetitive. I'm also going for that neato abstract-kind-nisc, so I'm never going to show her face. I will show bits, like a shot of her lips and her eyes or a one-quarter view, but nothing so the viewer will know what she looks like exactly.

And that's what's been happening lately.
